Quick-fire questions

HERA: What’s your favorite way to travel? Planes, trains, driving, etc?
Graceleen: Train!

HERA: Hostels, hotels, or homestays?
Graceleen: Homestays — I am able to live like a local for just a bit.

HERA: Are you a planner or do you go with the flow when you travel?
Graceleen: I like being both. I like to plan major sightseeing spots and have lots of flexible time around them.

HERA: Would you rather explore landmarks or local favorites?
Graceleen: Local favorites.

HERA: Tell us about the thing you do that you’re most proud of. Why are you proud of it? What about it is inspiring to you?
Graceleen: I am proud of being a part of the HERA team! I love being able to help women explore beyond their boundaries wherever they are, learning something new every day. The people I get to interact with through HERA inspire me every day.

HERA: What is your favorite travel tip, piece of advice, hack?
Graceleen: “Learn something new every day” — be curious, stay curious.

HERA: What is your travel style? How would you describe it?
Graceleen: Small group travel (with 2-3 other people), with spontaneous adventures with just myself.

Let’s get into the details

Her Adventures | Graceleen Cruz

HERA: What’s your favorite place that you’ve ever traveled to? Why?
Graceleen: Italy will always stand out to me. The food, culture, architecture, art, history, sights — everything about Italy is fascinating to me!

HERA: What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned from travel that you’d like to pass on?
Graceleen: Life is way too short, and the world is so big. Travel within your means whenever the opportunity comes knocking at your door. There are adventures out there when you go looking for it, even in your own backyard!

HERA: What’s your dream? What does your end game look like?
Graceleen: My end game is to make sure that when I breathe my last, I can look back on my life and say I did everything I could. I hiked up that mountain, I visited that place, I went outside my comfort zone — I lived a life full of intention, making the most of every opportunity.
